An AI-accelerated internal tool built to support secure document export and transformation during enterprise platform transitions.
DocExport for OnBase is a B2B SaaS utility for financial institutions that need a reliable way to export documents from OnBase for audits, subpoenas, and loan workflows. I built the public marketing site and underlying systems for lead capture, automated communication, and onboarding—using AI-assisted React development to accelerate production while mentoring a designer and owning the full engineering delivery.

⚡️TL;DR
DocExport is a lightweight internal web application built to streamline document capture and export workflows for enterprise teams. The goal was to replace a slow, manual process with a fast, reliable tool that could be deployed quickly without disrupting existing systems.
I led product design and implementation end to end, using AI-assisted workflows to accelerate research, prototyping, and development. AI was used as a productivity multiplier rather than the product itself, allowing for faster iteration, clearer decision-making, and rapid validation of ideas.
The result is a production-ready single-page application delivered in a short timeframe, demonstrating how thoughtful use of AI can compress build cycles while maintaining design quality, technical integrity, and real-world usability.
What I delivered:
Full React + Next.js build
AI-generated scaffolding refined into clean production code
Automated emails using Resend
Secure API routing for form validation and submission
Vercel deployment with environment configuration and domain setup
My role:
Front-end engineering
UX refinement
Designer support & iconography
Technical implementation end to end
Access note:
The site is currently password-protected while the underlying OnBase add-on completes development.
The Problem
Financial institutions rely on OnBase for document storage, but exporting large volumes of records is slow, inconsistent, and often manual. Teams handling audits, subpoenas, and legal requests don’t have a streamlined way to generate bulk exports, which leads to delays, errors, and operational bottlenecks.
The new DocExport add-on solves this gap, but the company needed a public-facing marketing site to introduce the tool to prospects and begin the sales cycle. They needed:
A professional first impression for a product still in active development
A fast, functional build on a short timeline
A site that could remain private and password-protected until the product itself was ready for release
My job was to deliver a polished, reliable, production-ready site that clearly communicated product value — without requiring a long development cycle or heavy engineering overhead.
AI Accelerated Approach
During early ideation, AI was used to rapidly explore solution directions, clarify requirements, and pressure-test assumptions before committing to a build.
For validation, AI supported the exploration of edge cases and potential failure points, allowing flows and interactions to be refined prior to development and reducing rework later in the process.
During implementation, AI-assisted coding and documentation tools were used to speed up development while maintaining full control over architecture, UX decisions, and code quality.
AI was used selectively throughout the project to accelerate specific parts of the workflow while keeping design judgment, product decisions, and implementation fully human-led.
Key Features
Each feature was designed with both speed and scalability in mind. While the build moved quickly, every component—from UI to automation—was structured for clean handoff, maintainability, and long-term growth once the full product launches.
Marketing and Front End
Single page public marketing site
Built with v0.dev scaffolding plus significant custom refinements
Designer mentorship and icon contributions
UX guidance without owning the research phase
Lead Capture and Automation
Developed a custom modal with validation and accessibility improvements
Created a secure Next.js API route for parsing and sanitizing form data
Automated email flows via Resend, including:
Customer confirmation messages
Internal notification emails with submission details
Implemented React Email templates with inline styling
Added honeypot spam protection without relying on Captcha
Technical Infrastructure
Configured domain setup and authentication for Resend
Deployed through Vercel with clean environment variable management
Ran sandbox verification and lockfile corrections for stable builds
Ensured reproducible setup across development and production
Where AI made the biggest impact
AI significantly reduced time spent on early discovery and decision-making by minimizing manual research and exploration.
Faster iteration cycles made it possible to validate and refine ideas within hours rather than days.
During development, AI-assisted workflows reduced friction and supported rapid prototyping without compromising design quality or technical standards.
Outcome
DocExport was delivered as a production-ready internal tool within a short timeline, replacing a manual workflow with a faster, more reliable solution. The project highlights how AI-assisted workflows can meaningfully reduce build time while preserving clarity, usability, and technical quality.
What This Demonstrates
This project demonstrates how AI can be used responsibly to accelerate product delivery, how design and engineering decisions can be made in parallel, and how disciplined scope enables real-world tools to ship quickly without sacrificing quality.
